Job Description

1. Should know/explore/assess renewable/clean energy technologies and global market trends of renewable/clean energy technologies used across various agriculture and allied value chains.
2. Should take care of cost-benefit analysis of identified technology solutions and designing sustainable business models
3. Help identify and design pilots for demonstration, procurement of applications as per GIZ guidelines and scaling up the business model in the project
4. Facilitate key communication with relevant stakeholders including key Government officers / technical and potential partners and project team
5. Help document and organise cluster/district and state level events to disseminate the project learnings with relevant stakeholders

Project Description

The objective of the project is to facilitate the creation of an enabling market environment for promoting productive use of Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) technologies and services catering to farm and allied sectors in rural India, that directly help in achieving the dual goals of carbon dioxide emission reduction and rural poverty alleviation. The goal of the project would be to improve the quality of life of rural populations by providing affordable clean energy technologies leading to saving of the recurring fuel costs.

Screening Criteria 1
Master’s degree in Energy studies, Environment Science, Agriculture studies or equivalent
Screening Criteria 2
Language: Good business language skills in Hindi, English. Odia would be an added advantage
Screening Criteria 3
General professional experience: 10 years of professional experience in renewable energy and predominantly worked in development sector in areas of rural development, agriculture and allied sectors etc.)
Screening Criteria 4
Specific professional experience: 5 years of experience in assessing and designing energy policies/ programs for central/state Govt Executed development agencies financed projects for Odisha Governments with focus in renewable energy
Screening Criteria 5
Leadership / management experience: 4 years of management / leadership experience as project team leader / advisor / manager. Experience in managing teams with a mix of national and local energy expertise; scheduling, managing deliverables, costing and status reporting.
Screening Criteria 6
Regional Experience: Experience of managing state and national level projects. Working experience in Odisha will be an added advantage
Screening Criteria 7
Development co-operation experience: Experience of managing ODA financed project and quality protocol of international development agencies
