Plastic Waste Management Expert
Job Description
The consultant will provide short term support in close coordination with relevant government organizations to prepare and finalize an operational plan for systematic plastic waste management in select 4 cities (including peri urban areas) of India based on the concept of circular economy which can be replicated in other cities in India.
Project Description
The objective of the assignment is to prepare and finalize a comprehensive and holistic operational plan for systematic plastic waste management on the principles of circular economy for selected 4 cities (including peri urban areas) in India. This should be based on desk based diagnostic study of plastic waste management status in the selected Indian cities. The study would be undertaken in discussion with the urban local bodies in the four cities, the relevant ministries, departments, and organizations of Government of India.
Screening Criteria 1
"12 years relevant experience in planning, designing, implementation, operation and management of urban infrastructure interventions."
Screening Criteria 2
"Expert with Master’s Degree in relevant field (Engineering/Planning or related field)"
Screening Criteria 3
With good communication and writing skills and experience in managerial role
Screening Criteria 4
"With exposure of working in multi-Lateral agencies funded projects is required. "
Screening Criteria 5
"Experience of working with central and state governments and urban local bodies in the field of municipal solid waste management /plastic waste management would be an added advantage."
