Environment Specialist
Job Description
The work includes environmental due diligence, impact assessment, technical assistance on environmental aspects of project processing and document preparation, and support to project implementation.
Project Description
The consultant will provide assistance to ADB staff and government counterparts in fulfilling safeguards requirements in accordance with the ADB Safeguard Policy Statement 2009 and relevant national and international environmental policies for SATC projects.
Screening Criteria 1
The individual should have at least 10 years of experience in preparing/conducting environmental assessments and implementing and monitoring environment management/safety, health, and environment plans, and other environment management-related work.
Screening Criteria 2
The candidate should have good academic background on environmental engineering, environmental science, environment management, Natural Sciences (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Geology) or related fields
Screening Criteria 3
"The candidate must have similar international working experience, preferably with international organizations such as World Bank, UN and ADB. Experience working on South Asia transport projects is an advantage"
