Job Description

1. Work in close coordination with Director, RCUES of AIILSG Mumbai
2. Work closely with Government Departments dealing with urban WASH, environment and governance
3. Lead technical activities in one or more sectors as stated above, including building and maintaining
effective relationships with counterparts, service providers, contractors and other key stakeholders.
4. Lead in developing, refining and implementing technical aspects and ensuring that the team and
counterparts have the tools to make evidence based decisions.
5. Provide technical inputs in various ongoing projects including preparation of detailed project reports,
technical documents, technical drawings, technical analysis, ideating innovations, addressing challenges
in implementation etc.
6. Possess good understanding of technical modalities, finances etc. of treatment systems in Maharashtra
the above mentioned sectors.
7. Undertake visits to State departments and cities to conduct meetings with officials and provide technical
and strategic support as required

Project Description
Regional Centre of Urban and Environmental Studies (RCUES) Mumbai is a Regional Centre established and supported by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India (GoI) in the year 1968, and is anchored at AIILSG Mumbai. RCUES, AIILSG Mumbai is also the secretariat to Maharashtra Urban WASH-ES Coalition, a jointly established platform by RCUES, AIILSG Mumbai and UNICEF Maharashtra.
Screening Criteria 1
"Masters in Infrastructure/ Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning (with Bachelors in Engineering) or equivalent with at least 10+ years of experience in relevant urban sectors (Urban Governance/ Sanitation/ Water/ Solid Waste Management/ Environment/Climate Change)"
Screening Criteria 2
"Bachelors in Infrastructure/ Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning with at least 15+ years of experience in relevant urban sectors (Urban Governance/ Sanitation/ Water/ Solid Waste Management/ Environment/Climate Change) "
Screening Criteria 3
"Good know how of working with the State and Local Governments, preferably in Maharashtra "
Screening Criteria 4
Excellent quantitative/qualitative analysis, presentation making as well as report writing skills are must
Screening Criteria 5
Good communication skill in English (written and oral), Marathi (written and oral) and Hindi (oral) is must
Screening Criteria 6
"Preference may be given to the candidates who have worked in above mentioned sectors in urban development missions with Government departments and partners and well versed in implementation of project cycle"

A team player who is adaptable, self-motivated and result oriented
